Meet the Affordable Housing Experts of AHD, Inc.

Richard N. Tager, President

Mr. Tager, one of the co-founders of AHD, Inc., is responsible for the overall operation of our company. He has been involved in all aspects of the organization, development, financing, construction, and management of affordable housing assisted by Federal, state and local finance and insurance programs throughout the United States. Mr. Tager is also a co-founder and President of AHD Management Inc., the housing management affiliate of AHD, Inc.

Throughout his career, Mr. Tager has also practiced law, specializing in real estate and housing development matters. He served as house counsel for the Washington, D.C. office of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Architects/ Engineers. He was also general counsel for CRI Inc., a national multi-family housing developer/ syndicator.

Donald E. Tucker, Executive Vice President

Mr. Tucker, one of the co-founders of AHD, Inc. is responsible for the direction of all of our housing development operations and programs. He has more than forty years of experience in the planning, design, development, construction, and management of affordable apartment communities using assistance programs available from Federal, state, and local governments. Mr. Tucker is a co-founder and Executive Vice President of AHD Management, Inc. and is also a registered architect and a principal in the architectural firm of EDG Architects.

James L. Mitchell, Senior Vice President

Mr. Mitchell has been an integral member of the AHD, Inc. team since it was established in 1989. He is responsible for coordinating our housing rehabilitation programs and directing the asset management function of AHD Management, Inc.

Mr. Mitchell has been a real estate development professional in the Washington Metropolitan area for more than twenty-five years. He has experience in all facets of real estate development, including site selection and acquisition, government and community relations, large scale multi-family housing, tenant relations, and tenant relocation programs.

Tiffany M. Lanouette, CPM, Vice President

Ms. Lanouette has been with AHD, Inc. since 2002 and has recently received her Certified Property Management (CPM) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). She is responsible for assisting in coordinating the company’s housing development activities, working with government financing agencies, private mortgage lenders and equity syndicators. Ms. Lanouette supervises the property and liability insurance program for the AHD, Inc. project portfolio and assists in the asset management functions of AHD Management, Inc., the housing management affiliate of AHD, Inc.

Prior to joining AHD, Inc., Ms. Lanouette was a student majoring in management and computer technology.

Lorie L. Hoffer, Comptroller

Ms. Hoffer has been with AHD, Inc. since 2005. She is responsible for accounting and coordinating the financial operations of AHD, Inc., Management, Inc. and the AHD project portfolio. She also assists in coordinating the financial affairs of the housing development programs, working with government agencies, private mortgage lenders, and equity syndicators.

Before joining AHD, Inc., Ms. Hoffer worked for more than fifteen years in business management, accounting and consulting service in the health care industry as well as over 6 years in corporate accounting at the public accounting firm of Aronson, Fetridge, Weigle and Stern in Rockville, Md.
